All My Artworks Are
Inspired by Nature
I want the viewer to have a ‘feeling” for the landscape they are looking at. I strive to capture an essence of the scene. This could be the time of day, the season or the weather, with something left for the viewers imagination. For example, wondering what is behind the mountains, further up the path or around the corner.

Inspired by Nature, my recent solo exhibition at Lytham Heritage Centre
I recently held a very successful show in the pretty seaside town of Lytham. It took over two years to get the slot, so plenty of time to gather new bodies of work for this, alongside what I considered were my best paintings from my existing portfolio.
My most recent work is using charcoal, pushing the limits of this material to create a collection of moody landscapes. These proved my most successful number of sales, and comments in my comment book at the exhibition.
I would like to thank everyone who visited, or wished me good luck. It certainly was a success!

I belong to Lodge Artists Art Society in Chorley, where I take part in regular exhibitions. I have also had work accepted and exhibited at a number of Open exhibitions.
Within these exhibitions I have won a number of awards in recent years. In October 2021, I held my first solo exhibition, which allowed me insight to what attracts someone to my work. I have also had a painting published in both The Artist and Leisure Painter February 2022 editions.. Also last year I got on the long list of Visual Arts Open.
Shown at the Lytham Heritage Centre....
I hope you enjoy looking at (and hopefully buying!) my work as much as I enjoyed creating it.
